Seeking help is a sign of strength. Please seek professional help for any of the following: 

• Persistent sadness, anxiety, anger, irritability, hopelessness, or feelings of being overwhelmed
• Sustained loss of interest in social or pleasurable activities
• Significant impairments or changes in daily functioning, such as sleep, appetite, or hygiene
• Thoughts of death, dying, or suicide
• Impulsive, reckless, or risky behaviors, such as substance abuse or self- injury

Over The Summer:

• Consider a new diet as well as a news diet- unplug from TV news
• Get outside
• Take time to grieve. Several staff have lost loved ones. 
• Feel your emotions
• Volunteer
• Find community and a sense of purpose
• Be kind to yourself-  practice self-care
• Try meditation and a gratitude journal

• For COVID, all copays related to COVID visits, testing and antibody testing is waived until September.  For Mental Health, teledoc visit copays are waived for the time being but there is no end date.  Use live health online or whatever your doctor uses to visit them.

• On site program/support
  • Morning meditation -This can be done at the start of each day in person or virtually. This allows staff  the opportunity to center themselves. 
  • Weekly or biweekly check-in groups for staff members -This can be done virtually. This provides a space for staff to share and unpack their week and hear from others who are having similar experiences or who can provide advice on how to address identified stressors. 
  • Sending morning motivational quotes 
  • Encourage movement throughout the day-Take 5-10 minutes to walk or leave the building
  • Start the day with positive announcements or calming music  over the announcements or in the classroom -Stage for a healthy learning environment.

•   Resources and workshops for students of all ages, parents and staff. Workshops available In person and online. Programs are available throughout the summer as well as the school year. A highly recommended resource to help staff, students and parents as they prepare to transition back to school.
